Sports for Exceptional Athletes is a community-based sports program serving athletes with disabilities ages 5 through adult in San Diego County. The purpose of SPORTS for Exceptional Athletes is to create enhanced opportunities for people with and without disabilities to interact and form lasting bonds of friendship through shared sports and recreational activities in their community.
The sports program offers both individual and team sports comprised of 10-12 weeks of training and competition. Teams may be made up of athletes with disabilities, families, friends, and others in the community who want to play on inclusive teams. Individual sports offer a season of training and skill building at weekly practices. Tournaments are held in San Diego in individual and team sports. The sports are divided into four Sports Seasons, with both individual and team sports in each season.
